DWU Dance School runs Bollywood dance classes for adults every Friday from 6–7pm in East Village, Stratford (E20 1BD). The classes are open to all levels — from complete beginners to experienced dancers — and are taught by Rush Brahmbhatt. Your first class is free.
Whether you grew up watching Bollywood films or just love the music, colour and energy, this is your chance to experience India's most joyful dance style here in East London — no experience needed.
Each class blends upbeat Bollywood tracks with expressive, story-led choreography — the hand gestures, the footwork, the drama that makes Bollywood dance instantly recognisable. You'll learn a routine step by step, build it up over the hour, and leave having had a proper workout without it ever feeling like one. It's cardio, coordination and pure joy in equal measure.
Who these classes are for
You don't need any dance background to join. Most adults who come to us start as complete beginners, and the class is built so you can follow along from your very first session. It's a welcoming, sociable hour and a great way to end the working week — a chance to move, meet people, and celebrate a culture loved around the world. Parents waiting while their children dance with us are especially welcome to swap the waiting room for the studio.
